Thanks everyone. I have to try it. Trying to make contact with H doesn't work for him....he wants to be the one to make the contact. I'm at home today though getting ready for D's bday party tomorrow, so I won't be on much at all until maybe tomorrow or even Monday. \:\(

Thanks Jeff. I was just over posting on Jacks thread titled SG in Seperated.
H went home sick yesterday. I'm already mentally practicing both scenarios....if he's at the party and if he's not. Either way, I'm going to have a blast with D and her little friends!

Those were kind words Dar, thanks.

Hoping that particular thread goes away.

Dar:

Have fun with D and her friends regardless of what H does. You can make memories with her that she will cherish forever!

Enjoy your weekend!

I hope you have a great time!

You've learned DB by applying/not applying in your OWN situation.

D's party went WONDERFULLY! We had a blast! H called about an hour before coming over to let me know he was too sick. He kept apologizing for not being able to make it and kept saying how badly he wanted to be there. I was VERY kind to him, sounded happy the whole time, and just kept saying "don't worry about it", "just take care of yourself", "I understand you're upset" and "we'll take lots of pictures so it'll feel like you were there". I wasn't upset at all, it wasn't fake. I was understanding and know he's upset about it. I think I did good. (?)

Thanks BND. I called H last night to see if he was feeling better enough to still watch D today (off school) or if my mom should. He called about 1 1/2 hours later and told me he's still sick. I could tell by his voice he was. I told him that it's fine, I asked my mom if she could be my back up in case he was still sick. He apologized and I told him not to worry about it. He told me he'd try to get out by me today anyway to give me money, but I told him not to worry about since he's sick and the banks are closed today as well.
I'm trying to be sympathetic at the same time hoping I'm not screwing myself over.

I'm glad the party went well! It sounds like you had a great time!

I think you handled your H's illness, and inability to watch D today great! You showed him that you cared, without making a big deal about it. And you showed him that you had the ability to handle a bump in the road without it throwing you. I think you did a good job. Just keep it up, slow and steady, etc., etc.!
