The one and only time I ever tried a chocolate torte was when I was a kid. My dear mother spent most of a whole day making the horrid thing. It was, without a doubt, the worst thing my mom has ever made. We gave it to the dog and even he would not eat it but buried it instead. That was around 1977 and we still laugh about it and wonder if it is still buried in the yard? BTW, that was the only thing that dog would not eat. I am laughing to myself as I tell this because it is such a legend in our family.
