One step at a time. I miss your wisdom.
Things are kinda bleak from where I'm sitting.

"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."

Epicurus (341 BC - 270 BC)

Too often, the bleakness takes hold and makes it hard for you to see the sun. I know it's hard to get back up and move forward, but you must if you want to learn to be the better man that turns the heads of those around you and makes her regret the decision she made.

"I made the wall of shadow draw back,
beyond desire and act, I walked on.

Oh flesh, my own flesh, woman whom I loved and lost,
I summon you in the moist hour, I raise my song to you."

Well, I sogned my half of the papers.
In in L.A., she's in San Luis Obispo, so we don't have to see each other.

Neat and clean, huh? She doesn't even have to face me. What a coward.

I will enjoy spend MY money!

Good for you David! Your part of this hellish experience is over with.

Now, go out and have fun (but not too much fun---we don't wanna have to bail you outta jail!)

Good things are coming your way....

Hugs,
Valentine

Sorry for taking so long to post. My heart hasn't been in it.

D was final March 18. She's really good! She did it without seeing me or talking to me.

I signed the papers so her broker will release the $60K to me.

I will have that by April 18.

Receiving this money gives me no pleasure. I've made jokes about it to take the edge off, but all I ever wanted was to talk to her.

Should I stay on this forum, or move to "Continuing to Make a Blatant Fool of Myself After the Divorce?"

I haven't given up. Is it persistence or stubborness?

David

David,

Did they add that forum this weekend?

Hell man, stay here, MLC and all that.

Sorry to hear how things went down, sorry that she couldn't even face you.

You haven't given up, and I really don't like that term much anyway, because you're tanks aren't empty, you're not ready too. It is not because you are stupid or foolish, it's just not in you to stop.

Call it what you want, but don't let anyone else put a label on it. You do for you.
