Everyone becareful that you don't pull a black ball from your bag. Kinda funny since in my massmedia class we are talking about just this sort of thing.
Perhaps if moderators read the threads instead of simply wiping them away or out, the confusion would be much less.
As an adult, I feel it is my right to decide for myself if I want to read something that has the word party in it or not. Had I know I was in danger of being sent to my room without a snack I would have packed for the journey.
Apparently surviving involves no humor, no friendship, no sharing of the day to day.
whatever
and it irritates me in no small way that just when we feel like we are perhaps truly surviving we are cut off at the knees.
again whatever
we all need doodles we all need to smile
we all needed to learn to fake it until we make it but we better not make it too loudly or with too much sincerity, with too much joy or with too much success
whatever
much love to all the party thread dwellers
thank you for teaching me that in surviving I could find great joy thank you for teaching me that in surviving I could find parts of myself long buried thank you for teaching me that in surviving I could develop parts of myself I wanted to be there thank you for teaching me that in surviving there is thriving
W2S - my most reliable cheerleader, my shopping victim, my first rate steak buyer and grilling teacher Tom - my stalwart champion, my hero, my friend Dry_Heat - my fave geek, my groovy newcomer GoinBatty - my serious(ly cute) neighbor, my most recent partyer
And the ladies: You are all very very special to me, holding my hand during the silliness, and laughing at the insanity. Maybe that's what made the insanity not quite so insane. I believe so....
I like to think that I've made someone's life just a touch brighter when they needed it the most. That I have shown that refinancing and shoveling and moose chasing and dating and grocery shopping and Mom taming and building buildings and applying for new jobs and shearing the mop and grilling and traveling and selling every item I have and moving and landing in the ditch and etc, etc, etc, are not the SCARY things that we think they are. That they are each gateways to life and love, laughter and adventure.
Embrace yourself. Embrace love. Embrace laughter. Embrace joy. Embrace learning. Embrace your neighbor. Embrace life.
We all deserve that. And so much more.
Kisses peeps. Hugs too. Much love
J
PS. Some day, some groovy newcomer on the MLC board will say "WTF?" "WTF is going on here????" and start a new and better party thread. And it will be a beautiful, lovely, and loving sight. She will also come out of this mess a much better person. What a gift from life.
When this Newcomer appears and repeats this process, they will not be the only one to become a much better person. The people that get to know her, and learn from her, and yes ... party with her, will also become much better people. What a gift from life.
