H got back yesterday 5 min. before I had to take D10 to the rink for skating. H gave each D a necklace from his trip. I was happy for them because in the past he also got them something on his trips but he hasn't done that much in the last couple of years. Of course it hurt that I got nothing not even a hug, I missed you it is good to see you. My expectations were low, but it still hurt.
Took D to skating. H was left home w/ D15 who he later dropped off at her HS b-ball game. H then showed up at the rink which I didn't expect. He was texting as soon as he got there. Probably one of the EAs. Ended up getting a call, but it wasn't an EA just a coworker happy about someone quiting. H told D bye and I asked if he was going to the house or leaving for the night. H said he was headed to the house.
I decided to pick up dinner on the way home so I was nice and called H to see if he wanted anything but of course H didn't answer his cell. The house phone went straight to v-mail as he was on the computer. D tried calling his cell again at which point he called. After we got home he spent a little over an hour w/ us.
H told me his check for his stock from the sale of the co. he works for is waiting for him at work. It is a nice 6 figures and we plan to put a big chunk away for college for the Ds. H was talking about all the stuff we will be buying for the house. At one point I said well yeah we need x,y,z whether we sell the house or not. I just want to dump to much in the house if we aren't going to be staying here. No response. I said we will have to wait and see. I just don't know if he wants to ease all his guilt by getting parting gifts for me and the Ds or if he sees a future.
