Hey my big sweet All

It stinks when things hit all at once, which for some odd Murphys Law reason it usually happens that way!

Take one thing at a time, the murder is horrible and needs to be grieved, can you do something to make yourself more able to deal with it? Someting somewhat simimlar happend when I was going thru the early days of the bomb, people were donated money and such to the family , I didnt have extra money so went to my church and lit a candle, a small thing but for some reason I just felt better.

Getting ex out of your hair more will def help! It will take time, but it will happen, and the older your S gets the less she will have to be so in your face. Like I've said its the one thing I am thankful for.

I like Jills suggestion can you take a mini vacation?? How about that trip to PS?? or maybe even something more local? just new surroundings ??

Thinking of you All, we are all right here for when you need us!

From one frozen Tundra dweller to another...
do something small even

like replace one of your lights with one of those grow light type things

it helps for real

or you can snowshoe down here and I will make you a hot chocolatte

all,

Sounds like a real sh*tstorm all at once. Sorry man. I have no point of reference to even understand what you must be going through. I do agree with what Bethie wrote....be sure you don't internalize and own the stuff that comes from an ex's mouth. If some of that stuff was true, we'd all rank right up there with satan. \:\)

All,

So Now What?

You're your own best ally now. Whatever you can do that's good for you, just 'cause it's good for you, is the answer to your thread's question.

I went on ADs at the end of the separation, just before the actual D. I probably needed them months earlier. I know what it was like for me when I did the depression thing, and I can understand why you don't want to go back there.

The last couple winters I've been making a point to get outside into whatever sunlight is available for at least a few minutes each day. I call it my "smoke break" at work, because if they allow smokers to go outside several times a day, I figure they can let me go once each day for my sunlight fix. Do you have a chance to get outside and get some natural light each day?

Keep taking the best care of yourself that you can, and you'll be alright. We'll be praying for you on this end.

Thanks,

Joe

I just thought I’d drop in and say I’m feeling much better. I had a couple of bad days, I think that happens to most of us once in a while. Some things happened that got me thinking about some bad memories and I was having trouble getting those thoughts out of my head. You know, like that song you hear on the radio in the morning on the way to work and it plays in your mind all day long… Anyway I went to watch S16 play basketball last night and it was the perfect cure. Indecently they won 59 to 16! What a whooping! Woo Hoo! I do kind of miss my ball playing days sometimes.

Oh I also received a great joke that I think most of you will like.

(DEER MEAT A man kills a deer and takes it home to cook for dinner. Both he and his wife decide that they won't tell the kids what kind of meat it is, but will give them a clue and let them guess. The kids were eager to know what the meat was on their plates, so they begged their dad for the clue. Well, he said, 'It's what mommy calls me sometimes'. The little girl screams to her brother 'Don't eat it, it's an a$$hole.)

Ha! Now that funny right there! I don’t care who you are! Yee Haw!

Joe,

In fact,It has been overcast and gloomy for several days but the sun did shine yesterday afternoon and I did sit outside after work and soak it up for awhile. It felt great! I heard several people comment on how nice it was to finally see some sunshine.
