Don't worry about MLC--where she's at, what it means etc.
But at the same time, if you take the attitude that MLC is B.S. you may harden your heart toward unforgiveness. I've seen it happen and the result on the LBS is not pretty--bitter and angry instead of healed.
We don't use it as an excuse for their behaviour, but rather as something to help us with compassion--though we should be compassionate anyway.
