Maybe she believes that being D should not cause her to lose "all" of her extended family and friends. That perhaps, her life should continue to be blessed in every way possible. She may have read a book on CoParenting or spoken to a therapist who guided her to do these things.

Another possibility is that the tumor in her brain is making all rational behavior quite impossible. It is often difficult to distinguish the difference between the two possibilities.

What matters, is how you and your family are handling these events. If she is making anyone uncomfortable, they should read a book or talk to a therapist about setting boundaries. So should you.

Dealing with pesky tumors is always confusing to those tossed aside at the onset.

I believe that she is the latter of the two...lol. It seems to me that if she wanted to attempt to stay in touch with my immediate family, ie grand father, aunts, uncles, and cousins i could see her rational, but she has been completely irrational in this entire ordeal. And for her to reach out to friends I grew up with makes it even stranger. Let me give some examples from when it started: I attempted to see the C that she went to and had been seeing for over a year and half without my knowledge (paid cash) when I found out our R was in trouble. I figured he would at least have an understanding of what was going on and the hope was we would eventually attend together. The first round of sessions she invited me back into the bedroom stating everything was fine (i still was not aware she had been in counseling for as long as she had)I also found out she was on anti depressants. Then everything was fine for awhile and 2 months before she dropped the bomb I was in counseling again, also under the impression we would eventually attend together. During this time she dropped the bomb. She spent at least a week from the time she signed the divorce papers until I was served with them acting as though nothing was wrong. The day I was served I came home from work on a Friday, dinner was on the stove with a note D and I are at the neighbors supper is on the stove. Signed with a smiley face, 10 minutes later a process server showed up on the door step. I know it takes two to make a relationship work, so I can't put all the blame on her, but I believe that the counselor was actually trying to say she was delusional without breaking his oath. So every day is a challenge as I try to move on with my life and continually get interrupted with these strange behaviors.
