Thanks, short. I took it off once before, but it didn't feel right at that time.

Unfortunately, the indentation is still there. It is like the ring is still there. I guess after 15 years of a ring being on, it doesn't go away overnight.

The constant reminders.....

W8ing, my hand has never felt the same since I took my ring off. It still is practically indented where the ring was and it's been off for about a year and a half now!

I did wear it for a few weeks after the bomb because I refused to believe that my M might be over. But after listening to spew from my H because I wasn't letting go, I finally decided to take it off. It just didn't feel right anymore and I felt like I couldn't let go and keep the ring on at the same time.

w8ing,

It is hard to take the ring off. I remember when I did, I cried. I went for weeks of putting it on and then taking it off. Finally, it just didn't feel right to wear it anymore.

It is another little way in which we let go, move forward.

I do agree that if my M was to be restored (soooo unlikely) I would get a new ring to symbolize a new M, a new begining.

I'm glad your D is finally feeling better today.

Hope you are doing well too.

Love,
Shades

MrsH,

Are you kidding me? The indentation doesn't go away? What is this - a permanent reminder?

I think I will be ring shopping soon.....instead of the usual jewels, maybe something a little "artsy".

MrsH, please tell me that you're kidding me. It seems so obvious to me that the ring was there and now isn't. I wasn't looking to be obvious...... I've been rubbing and rubbing to try and make it disappear with no luck....

Shades, thanks for stopping by, especially after the night you have had. Not liking your H tonight - he is up there with MrsH's H.....

Funny thing is that I didn't cry. It is another step away and forward for me.

It was right.

Hang in there Shades. Tomorrow has to be better, right?

W8ing, I don't mean to laugh, but I can't help it with the way your post sounded. Tehe!

It took a long time on my finger for the indentation to go away but the shape of my finger where the ring was is still there.

Actually, I tend to still find myself rubbing my empty finger where my ring was. Sometimes I wear another ring there just so I don't feel so empty.

Go and get yourself a ring that you like and put it on that finger. It will probably also feel nice to have something new.
