Thanks, short. I took it off once before, but it didn't feel right at that time.
Unfortunately, the indentation is still there. It is like the ring is still there. I guess after 15 years of a ring being on, it doesn't go away overnight.
I waited to take my ring off too off in october(ithink) i agree with you..it just didnt feel right to wear it anymore so it is another letting go for us finally I am used to it being off glad D is better peace

W8ing, my hand has never felt the same since I took my ring off. It still is practically indented where the ring was and it's been off for about a year and a half now!
I did wear it for a few weeks after the bomb because I refused to believe that my M might be over. But after listening to spew from my H because I wasn't letting go, I finally decided to take it off. It just didn't feel right anymore and I felt like I couldn't let go and keep the ring on at the same time.
It is hard to take the ring off. I remember when I did, I cried. I went for weeks of putting it on and then taking it off. Finally, it just didn't feel right to wear it anymore.
It is another little way in which we let go, move forward.
I do agree that if my M was to be restored (soooo unlikely) I would get a new ring to symbolize a new M, a new begining.
Are you kidding me? The indentation doesn't go away? What is this - a permanent reminder?
I think I will be ring shopping soon.....instead of the usual jewels, maybe something a little "artsy".
MrsH, please tell me that you're kidding me. It seems so obvious to me that the ring was there and now isn't. I wasn't looking to be obvious...... I've been rubbing and rubbing to try and make it disappear with no luck....
