If she reports back in the affirmative, I may have to re-think the whole "deliver the message" talk.
I, for one, wouldn't think less of you if you did delay the talk:) Perfectly understandable in my book!!
I think that's the biggest reason for me having any patience with Ms. HD - your story last year of her being okay with you watching the b-ball game, coming late to the concert (was it?) and even giving you a kiss because they lost. It might sound small but I've known so many women that would not have handled that anywhere near as graciously. It really struck me as a loving gesture. Sure not the "gesture" you'd most like but still a nice one:) that did make me think she cared about you.

Love withers under constraint its very essence is liberty; it is compatible neither with obedience, jealousy, nor fear; it is therefore most pure, perfect and unlimited, where its votaries live in confidence, equality and unreserve.
Was he in grad school or undergrad? Ask him about which bars he went to (if any), where he lived, etc. Maybe THAT will give me more insight into his personality:) Papa Joe's and Out-r-in were my hangouts starting in the Spring of 1990.

He would have been undergrad at that time. He probably didn't do much bar hopping at all. My description of my college experience and his description of his were just woooooooooorlds apart. I'll ask though. I do know that he lived off campus somewhere.

Yes, she has her moments, and that was definitely one of them. Good memory, fearless!

As if. Of course, if that ever does happen, I would not be surprised to also see a lioness hath whelped in the streets; graves have yawned and yielded up their dead; dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria. And, of course, MsHdog discovering her inner sex kitten.

Yes well I love sports too and it amazes me how inconsiderate and downright rude some women can be about their H's enjoyment of sports. Now I can completely GET that the wives don't understand or enjoy sports and even that they don't want to watch them, I just don't get the criticizing, chastising or talking down.
(and to be fair I don't like when it goes the other way. My best friend loves scrapbooking. I don't understand it myself but she loves it and is good at it. Her XH didn't understand it either and would minimize it, criticize it as unimportant and even get mad at her for working in her scrapbooking room. This was at the time I was staying with them and he would go on and on about my running (about 40-55 miles per week). It would make me cringe because it was so obvious he "valued" my interest over her interest.)
Fearless, who is ready to leave for the weekend!!

How do you feel about women who seem to be semi-purposefully dating only men who went through college on football scholarships even though she has no interest in the activity and it is just a coincidence that coaches pick players in the size she likes? Would you be less disapproving if you knew that she made excellent layered chip dips?
