I try not to have this conversation because it tends to anger those who may have been married and divorced before but now, supposedly older and wiser, they want to stand for this, their second or subsequent marriage.
I didn't write the Book but nobody minds shooting the messenger if they don't like what it says.
Additionally, too many "standers" claim God's Word regarding marriage and family and then continue to ignore the rest of the Book. Then they act surprised and say God didn't "save" their family when the truth of the matter is they were never in line with His Word in the first place, nor did they seek to be.
