H was a bit pissed until he saw I really meant it, and kids saw it too and then psychiatrist threatened to commit me.

Please don't think I advocate this as a good method - I really had lost the plot big time. I still worry about the damage it did to my kids.

I think communication is the best thing once one's S is willing to communicate sensibly.
