Maybe the April date might be better, gives H time to process. Could be too much, too soon. Give him some time, the seed is planted. I also get depressed about the sitch. Seems worse if I'm out and see an older couple walking and holding hands like we used to do.
I've read on some of the posts here that couples were S 2 or 3 years before getting back from MLC. Don't give up!!
