HB2- I wish I really had some advice for you but I don't. I would be as confused about what to do are you are. My thoughts are that since you sent your H the text and he didn't respond, you might want to leave it alone...or wait awhile to just ask how she is doing. Do you have enough of a relationship with your SIL to contact her directly?
