That's independent of being exclusive.

Mojo, I was involved in an LDR much like you and FSG for most of a year (for gawd's sake, get a webcam!). During that entire time we were never exclusive and in fact, we encouraged each other to date, discussed our dates and helped each other get dates. I was as needy an SOB as you can possibly imagine that whole stretch but being exclusive made no sense even to me.

Even now I wouldn't push a local R to be exclusive as fast as he's pushing you. It really makes no sense.

I expect you'll blithely conjure a dozen reasons why his rush-to-exclusivity is as natural and innocuous as mother's milk, so I'll quit banging the drum.
