One of the DB rules is to do what works, right? And what you are doing seems to be working for now! That could change at any time, but you are ready for that. But, it would be good if you could detach just enough not to feel roped back in when you talk to him. Should we imagine that he is some kind of vegetable for the time being? Or perhaps a fish?
