Hey OT, did you know the Chinese think stamp licking is disgusting? Yet, horking up your phlegm and making god awful noises while you're doing it is OK. Go figure, eh! Just a useless little tidbit that I'm sure you didn't need to read and probably no one else needed to read either. But, hey, it's my thread and I'll write what I want to. Also, in Canada we don't lick stamps anymore they are now self adhesive, so weep over that all you Americans. You know, I'm beginning to feel a bit confused by paper clips tonight, there are just so many sizes to choose from...I think I might need some guidance in this area...hmm, but where to go for such assistance?
I am hitting my head on my desk! Oy! You are both funny and exasperating, all at the same time. Ha ha!

Here I can't sleep and take a peek on the boards and your already picking out paperclips with this woman. Sheesh! One step at a time, buddy! You're not ready for clips, must less staplers. You're still on the "how to operate the copier" level.
NH, when you're right, you're right. Picking out paper clips together is like picking out the silverware! What was I thinking? I'll just go back to playing with my pen for awhile. Thanks for bringing me back to earth.
I just had a very nice lunch hour with my new OSB (Office Supply Buddy ) By chance we ended up in the lunchroom at the same time and spent the whole lunch hour talking. We moved beyond office supplies and into personal histories, religion and counselling stories (she's a counsellor in another part of our agency). She thanked me for spending lunch with her and told me that she enjoyed talking with me. She's a nice woman, I enjoyed her company too. We didn't touch the paper clip issue though.
I just returned from a visit to my OSB's office. I had told her I would bring a book from home re a counselling style we are both familiar with. We chatted for about 10 minutes and then I said "I'll let you get back to work now" and left. I was actually a bit nervous as I don't go to women's offices "to chat" but I had said I would do something, bring in the book, and I always do what I say I'll do! We made a nice connection yesterday and I want to nurse it gently, not push it (NO EXPECTATIONS!), enjoy her company but allow it to be whatever it will be or let it be nothing at all. Getting too friendly with the opposite sex at work can also have it's downside, oh yeah, the last time I did that I ended up marrying the woman, and we all know how that turned out don't we!
Yes, we do know how that turned out, but you do have those two gorgeous daughter to show for it! OSB sounds like a nice woman, and you are doing the right thing by taking it slow, with no expectations. Just enjoy the company, and see where it goes. It's not like you can commit to anything beyond that, since you are, technically, still a married man. Sorry! I'm pointing out the obvious here, aren't I!?
Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Yes, she does seem nice but I'm not going anywhere with this for now! I'm just starting to realize that I don't need anyone else to have a decent life and that's a good thing. I'm actually starting to enjoy my life as it is, believe it or not! So, if I've made a friend then great, if somewhere down the road it becomes more then so be it. Now, the bad news about OSB is that she is of the same ethnic background as my W, from the same city as my W and came here alone like my W! Ooh, that's very frightening stuff! The good news is (this is for you Being Me) that with Asian women taking it slow is the rule not the exception. I remember when W and I started dating I was not allowed to even kiss her goodnight for two months! Today OSB made a second lunchroom appearance in two days and sat at a table with me and my co-workers, who quickly deserted us. Now keep in mind, she comes from a culture that says taking lunch away from your desk is practically sinful! When she realized she had almost taken the full hour 2 days in row, well I thought she was going to start shaking and collapse on the floor She had to flee ten minutes early to make penance!
