Monkey: (with defiant attitude) Why should I?

Wolf: Because you know that you want to.

it is a given that Monkey actually does want to peel the banana. That is the nature of Monkey.

So does anyone have any suggestions for how Monkey can avoid/conquer this dilemma?


There is no dilemma. Monkey is getting what she wants; Monkey is congruent. Reminds me of the story of the Frog and the Scorpion.

If there's a dilemma, one of the other animals or the zookeeper has it so that's who has to deal with it.

I suppose you could try to train Monkey to act against her Nature but that seems a path to dysfunction.
