Just my view - No point in avoiding being served papers. if you are looking to delay, there are plenty of opportunities. You can, for example, wait until the last moment to acknowledge being served. That's usually 30 days I think.

And there are lots of other things to do.
Explain to your attorney where you are, what you want.
