I work from home often.. but I don't think it's really what you're looking for. I work for a large company with many different sites around the world, so I'm able to "telecommute" fairly often. If you can find a place that will let you telecommute plus have really flexibile hours that might work?

Can you do something different and more lucrative during the day while doing your existing job at night??

I think some insurance agents work from home offices, and Medical Transcription is another alternative - but both require some training.
