Why do you feel such an immediate need to heep more pain on your sons by having her tell them she filed? You speak in one breath about your concern for them and in the next you want her to throw them for another loop. Leave it alone for now and do the work that you are supposed to do on yourself.
As for taking turns in the condo, I would not. In my opinion having been a MLC/WAW, I have to say that each and every time I was forced to live in what I'd chosen, it helped pave the way down the long and winding road that eventually led to my eyes being opened. You may choose otherwise in your sitch though.
