Hey SO2,
I didn't mean for my questions to have you give up on him. But at the same time I think it's important to recognize that the person you don't want back is the person he is right now.
If he's ever going to change and get better he has to do that on his own and in time. Letting him go is the only way to do that.

He is a sinking ship and you can't let yourself go down with him...you're too bouyant with that baby in you!!!

My theory is they have to hit rock bottom sooner or later and hopefully when they do they will do the self reflection they need to make their way out of this crisis.

That is so sad that he is showing up at his D's soccer games "out of it". Does her mother know about this? I would be fuming!

Did you read the link I sent you? I found it really helpful for letting go...knowing it's my only hope of maybe one day getting him back.
