You couldn't trust your W with her fidelity. It seems to be that she may have had Shrek near your kids. Why would you trust her to play fair with money?
Seems to me that you want to be seen as being the voice of reason. Ok - but it might well cost you........how much is it worth? If it's only one months mortgage payment then probably not too big a deal but what if it was 20x that? Would you still feel the same? The principle is the same isn't it?
Personally, I think your W has proven how trust worthy that she is.
