So here was Lin's suggestion: Glad you had a safe trip and I managed to get a lot done with my time at home. Hope you enjoy these flowers...thought they were pretty, like you....
I was thinking: Glad you had a safe trip, we got a lot done here! Hope these flowers warm you up after your time in the cold!
Your line is good Jeff. If you want to chance a double meaning you could change your last line to 'hope these flowers take the chill off!' WINK WINK WINK
Don't hold your breath on that one! I just hope they are well received. I figure six months before anything else happens. Then, well, it might get ugly. But that's the future!
Sounds good...take the chill off...good one, lol...
Well we went out for a special family dinner tonight...I also bought a van today...boy I spent the $$$ today...
Dinner was great...all you can eat lobster, crab, shrimp, sushi, cheeses, desserts...OMG...the Four Season's sure puts on a spread...but then they charge for it too...but it was for H's one year sobriety...I am proud of him and wanted him to know just how much...I think he got it!
Planes are late, it will be 12 before she gets to the airport! The good news is that S13 has a soccer game at 8 in the morning! Someone needs to take him, leaving at about 6:30! I think she's going to do it, since she doesn't get to go to a lot of them now that she's working many weekends.
I'm close to done here, just picking away at details now. Is it perfect? No, but we do live here! It is better than when she left, I think, I think that's a reasonable yardstick.
She did appreciate that I made her bed. The flowers, well, she checked to make sure that I had put something under the container to keep the water off the furniture. I think she at least liked them, but said little. Hasn't opened the card yet, as far as I know.
S13s 3.2 GPA disturbed her. She wanted to know what I had done about it. I said I told him it wasn't his best, and he could be better. She said I should have docked electronics time from him. I sort of figure he can figure it out. We have a different approach on this, I think! Anyway, she was angry.
Also, there were a few Christmas cards that we didn't have addresses for when she left. I researched, and dug up the addresses I could, but I didn't get them mailed. This was something I should have done, I quickly apologized, without excuses, but I think it was a capital offense!
It was two in the morning, so take that into account, but, I wish she'd just leave again.
I don't think she has seen the vastly improved state of our (and I use the term loosely) bedroom. A lot of time went into that! I think I will keep it nice, for me! That will be a change, anyway.
Anyway, I think she is taking S13 to his soccer games tomorrow, I did set an alarm so that I know they make it out.
Where can I sign up for an MLC? I just want to go away and hide!
Oh, and most disturbing of all.....if she said she wanted to, I'm not 100% sure I'd want to! That's just messed up, as my kids would say! I guess when push came do shove, I would, but still....
Oh, Jeff. So sorry that it didn't go exactly as planned. At least she appreciated the bed, though. And she may have appreciated the flowers but just not said....

That is hard. Do you sometimes feel like you might become the WAS?
