Hah! Heard this one quite a few times. Just last week she told me that she ended the relationship with OM to prove to herself that it wasn't him but instead, her. Funny enough, she didn't end it, he did. Funnier still, we had no discernible issues before him (she has said this MANY times).
Another one I got from her after OM made contact after his second disappearance:
"I'm not lying about this anymore. Lying is what you do about a fling, an affair, not a real relationship."
