Lil, You are doing amazing! Just a few words of caution, one physical and one emotional. First off, resist the temptation to test the ankle out to its limit. Go slowly and sensibly. I remember pushing myself and having a setback, fortunately a minor one, but it was a lesson learned, the hard way, of course. Now for the emotional: This ankle break does represent, in a way, a break from your usual routine in life. Fortunately, you came to a place of calmness and understanding ( I had a similar experience). However, as I regained my mobility, the stresses of life returned, and it was hard to hold onto some of the "gifts" that this particular time out allowed to happen. I guess what I am saying is that although you may be a rat ( I am still pondering that one) don't get caught up in the rat race of life.
