I must admit that I hesitated before replying to such a hopelessly romantic e-mail. Even if I wasn't a chronic underachiever, I can assure you that I would fail to attain gold star status (I am assuming that after a certain number of silver stars were earned a gold star would be warranted) for one of the two or three usual and easily predictable reasons. However, I do admire and/or respect your unwillingness to compromise and/or placate in pursuit of your goal and/or desire.
