He hated my discipline, but listened with respect and was treated with respect. He tried me at every cost in my home, but minded my every request without a leash in public. Just by speaking to him.
The very epitome of a good dog.
I am sorry for your loss.
2 years ago on my birthday, we lost my W/s BC who was the best dog I have ever had the pleasure to know. A leash was never needed for him.
He was my children's protector, (sleeping under the crib, or by their beds later,) my W's companion, and one of my closest friends on this earth.
I dug his grave in a bed of Mississippi clay that refused to give. I dug it though, and planted a red oak tree on top of him so I can always find him.
My littlest B/C is a lot like him, she likes treats more, but still loves the kids. And me.
If we had a half ounce more of "dog" in us, I think we'd all be doing a whole lot better.
These are my friends now!
But someday baby... You ain't worry my life anymore
Take away, take away what I don't need, save the good part please. Fade away, fade away.
