Yes, you were right. I still believe MrLFL let this guy into his life by leaving but agree he'd never have come so close to losing her if he'd been able to keep her attraction. Maybe he will, now.
Don't agree about OM having a conscience, ala Stig, or drawing a boundary. He simply bailed when things would have gotten complicated, like before. Wouldn't surprise me if he tried to draw LFL back into the safe fantasy at some point in the future.
