SG's dog He is so bored in that cage and so lonely. I don't think dogs belong in cages. dogs are social creatures and need companionship and a place to run.
Who is the leader in your house, you or the GS? Who pays the bills? What is the right thing to with the dog, penned up or something else?
Tell GS the dog's needs come first. A fenced yard, lots of time spent with the dog. plenty of activities done with the dog. If he can't do all of them, he shouldn't have a dog.
Dogs are legally considered property in some states but don't they deserve more than someone saying they OWN a dog. What does the dog or any pet deserve? No million dollar pet motel, but surely more than a cage.
Yes it is hard on people giving up a pet but how much nicer will the dog's life be in a proper home.
The IRS isn't out to ruin you Sandi, just to collect what is due and to try to get people to file on time and correctly.
Local tax preparers file for late people all of the time. Call a tax person and ask questions. Maybe you will feel better or somewhat relieved.
