Lin- I think in a community property you have to protect yourself as soon as you have any reason to worry, especially if there are kids! Sort of shoot first, ask questions later. But, I've always said that when/if the MLC returns they'll actually appreciate the strength it took to protect yourself and the family.
We sent to the same friends' house tonight that we'll visit tomorrow night. Tomorrow, there are Mel Brooks movies leading to the New Year. Should be amusing!
