Imageer, make that 2 beers, I didn't realize your last thread locked at all. I kept waiting for it to come back up on my watched threads. Doh.
I can't understand about the kids at Christmas thing. That's so strange.
I was thinking about the things she said the other day and it points to depression too. "I'm misserable", "I go to bed and cry myself to sleep" (she always went to bed earlier then I did) "I have to leave so that I'm not always angry when with the kids", and so on.
I know exactly what you mean about this. My W says (has said for a long time,) much the same thing.
It stinks because they don't even know why they're unhappy, we're just the easiest thing to blame it on. I agree about depression, but I found out the hard way that bringing that up was a big mistake in my sitch. I guess that's understandable though, it'd be like someone telling you you're crazy and out of touch with reality. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to hear that.
I'm glad you had a good Christmas with the kids.
Santa brought me computer parts instead of a snowthrower, go figure.
These are my friends now!
But someday baby... You ain't worry my life anymore
Take away, take away what I don't need, save the good part please. Fade away, fade away.

Nothing wrong with geeking it up
I think you are right, addressing her dpression is a bad idea. Esspecially comign from me. You are also right that they don't recognise this in themselves. In my W's case, she realizes that she has a ploblem but likes to say "It will all be better when ....."
Eventually she will be out of excuses or next events when things will be better.
ok, I'm ready for my beer now.

No offense taken, I have the same thoughts from time to time.
Now is not one of those times.

When I was at my Ws Grandmother's funeral about 4 or 5 months ago, I was talking to W when she suddenly says, "You have something on your butt" and then she starts patting my a$$!
That was an odd day. W also as told me that I look really good in reference to my weight loss (54 lbs. woohoo!), asked me to be a palbearer, sat and chatted with my mother and I for over an hour rather than talking to the rest of her family and then gave me a hug. The minister in going through the names of family also referred to W and her husband Imageer. It was the strangest day in this whole thing.
Sorry to get off topic, it just came to mind.

Imageer, you are doing it again. Except that my grandmother passed away toward the beginning of the year, my W acted very close to me, holding my hand and hugging me at different times during the day, standing in for family photos, etc. She also complimented me on my weight loss, I was a pallbearer and she was extremely sweet to my uncles. I really thought she was missing "us" at the funeral. In fact, she said some very sweet things that day. I chalked it up to losing someone that was dear to both of us.
Not off topic, really. This is so weird Imageer.
