W called a while a ago. S9 answered, I was in a different room. She talked to him a bit, and then S13. Eventually, they called me. She said she asked S13 to call her dad and offer to walk their dog (it hurts me to watch her dad walk, I can't imagine what it feels like). I thought that was going to be it, but then she told me they had gotten to Idaho. (The surgery had been in Seattle, her brother lives in Idaho). I asked how it went, she said about five miles were bad. They have to make the round-trip again the 28th for a follow up. That was pretty much it. Since I would not have been surprised for her to now talk to me at all, it was good. I think if she didn't want me to follow up with S13, she would not have asked for me. There was a long pause after that, and I wasn't filling it!
I have been lazy today, as it is the first vacation day. Tomorrow, things will get busier!
