Thanks Burgbud, Yep, I can see that. There has to be a middle ground between that and getting up every day and going through the motions, ala "Groundhog Day". I'm basically trying to find what it is that excites me (other than MrsGGB, that is). I've found some things (such as flying), but the cost limits my ability to do it as much as I'd like to.
