FIl broke his hip yesterday in 4 places. There is nothing they can do. He will pass in the next few days. Hope not today as it is H's moms birthday. Mat you mentioned getting the call on Christmas eve. That is my Birthday. I got the call as im'e second contact for Fil and my sil was out of town. SHe is power of attorney and health care proxy. so I went to the hospital and tok care of palletive orders( not doing anything to prolong the inevitable) and had to refuse all sorts of treatment that wouldn't have done any good. It was the worst thing iv'e done i feel. Seems like your killing them your self. H was at work and with the sitch so up in the air everyone stayed at work and i kept them informed through out the day. when we went to bed last night H did give me a couple of kisses and a hug and told me thank you for being with dad today. Told him thank you. I would have done it even if we weren't together as they have been my parents too for 31 years
Just sucks but at least he will finally be at peace and H seems to be excepting it.
