Well, we had a long night. Both girls ended up vomiting and spiking fevers through the entire night. Laundry and cleaning, and lots of hugs and kisses. H totally pitched in, we made a good team. Both girlies seem much better today, although D3 might be home again tomorrow, she seems hit pretty hard with this.

I have nothing else exciting to share. lol

Ugh.. you know... that's all probably because some stupid parent would rather work than take care of their sick child.

See it all the time with the place my D's go. I'll walk into a classroom and the kids look like they have laces hanging from their noses.

They'll be one in the office whose parent hasn't picked them up after an hour of calling.

We are at a high end daycare, so we have all the docs and lawyers etc. It's sad to see these kids dropped off at 7:00 AM and then be picked up at 6:00 PM. They go home.. get a bite to eat and then go to bed. Maybe 1-2 hours with mom and dad tops.

Makes me glad I do what I do!!

jar!! I totally understand about the day care! I worked at one through college and was amazed (even pre-kids) that these kids were there 13 hours in a day. \:\( \:\( And yes, unanswered calls when kids have fevers. You could totally peg the kids that were 'dosed' up with Advil/Tylenol before arriving because they would go downhill FAST around 10am. It was awful. And it was a really nice one too!!

While I hate my lack of sleep (4, maybe 5 hours every night), I feel so grateful with how much time I have with the girls and that we have avoided the 'full time' daycare stuff. I know some can't avoid it, but there are many that could, but choose not to...

Hey lwb-

Nice to see some teamwork from your H.

Sorry that they were both sick. I understand the parents sending sick kids to school too. The thing that's not fun is when you think they're all better because you've kept them out of school for the day.....they've gone fever free for 24 hours....you send them back and you get the dreaded call just hours later. The teachers look at you like....Sure they were fine and fever free! I want to say.....I swear, she was fine yesterday! Had that happen a few months ago.

I have a couple of co-workers who make a lot of money and their wives could stay home, but choose not too. Trust me, I understand that it's an individual choice, but if I had the option, I would have stayed home too.

D3 (almost 4) has been almost full-time for about 6 months now. We had her home for most of the time before that. She started begging to go to school and we felt it was time for her to get involved with kids.

Well, enough of me. Hope you're doing okay tonight.

Sue

H just texted me. Asked me if I wanted to go out tomorrow night, to a new casino opening, can we get a sitter, what time, will the girls be feeling better....

I seriously reread the text three times, and made sure it was from him to me. LOL

What do I do?

I would suggest waiting. Don't respond, and don't call him. Let him call you to extend the invite. A text invite is not good enough for the likes of lwb.

When he calls, tell him you were planning on doing something else. Like washing your hair or something. OK, don't say that, but you should make him squirm. Tell him you need to think about it and ask him to call back in an hour. Make him pursue you.

Then, think about whether you want to go. What do you want to do? What does this mean to you?

What do you have to loose except for showing him you can be lucky both in love and game?
