Good news was I caught things getting out of control this time before they got bad - so I just said "Hey I can't talk to you about this anymore, I can see it's not headed a good direction." Worked pretty well.. in the past it got to the point of me practically in tears or yelling and Mom was furious with H or frustrated with me.
Ok, now I think we are twins again. I have found that I am constantly having to "defend" myself against my mother. I think I will borrow your line. Don't know if my mom will respect it, but it's worth a shot. My mother, for some reason, seems to always be contrary to whatever I say. Very frustrating.
