All depends on how intense it is, and how far into peri-menopause she is. Peri-menopause lasts an average of 10 years for most women, but the symptoms can continue on long after that also.

If the symptoms are severe, she can get medication (either natural or prescribed - I preferred to go natural) and balance out her system that way, allowing her to go through peri-menopause at a much more comfortable pace and putting less strain and frustration on herself, and those around her (i.e. YOU)

I think the first course of action is for her to determine how these symptoms are affecting her life (and I am sure it isn't the only one she is having if she is truly going through peri-menopause) and seek out perhaps the assistance of a herbalist or naturopath
