You know, one of the hardest things about this whole affair mess is taking care of yourself. I find it's all I think about. I lost my appetite (I've dropped five pounds in the past three weeks), and I've lost all interest in my work, my hobby, etc. All I think about is this f___king nightmare.
Any survival tips anyone?

I had to do something that stopped my brain spinning. For me I turned to the dark side - dum dum dum....SUDOKU.....I can't think about anything else when I am doing a killer one - it requires my total concentration and so stops my mind running away.

Actually, haven't talked to the wife since last night. Haven't talked to the OM yet. Pretty nervous about that. I'll be at work for another 45 minutes or so. No plans for the weekend I guess. Weather is predicted to be quite unpleasant.

Although I understand that it must be difficult for you to contain your disappointment in not being an alumnus of KU, as your friend, I urge you to seek counseling and perhaps some much needed anger management for your displacement issues.
Bomber, be careful about talking to OM. I'm sure he'll try to convince you that it was all "innocent" as well, and you'll want to believe him.
Seriously...(was it saffie's idea?) just sit down with her and go through each email, page by sickening page. Eventually, her protests of innocent friendship will fade.
If they don't, then offer to print them all up and circulate them among OM's wife, his parents, your in-laws, and get their opinions.
Just make sure that you've got them all backed-up somewhere, off-site.
