Actually, this thread gave me an idea, since I was thinking no gift.

I will buy something and put it in the closet. If he gives me a gift (I doubt he will, since he couldn't even get me a mother's day CARD and last year before we were even S he was very begrudging with the cheapo little girl earrings he gave me), I will have something for him.

Otherwise, it can stay in the closet and I will return it and spend the money on myself!!

So, something token. If I am feeling friendly enough I might even give him something regardless of whether he gives me anything. I just would rather not do anything that makes me feel resentful in any way.
