Honey - life is all about growing pains. Whether this R works or doesn't in the end Corri learns about being Corri. In the end it is up to you decide whether you treated him with respect and treated yourself with respect and if you did so, well, you won this round in the battle of life. If it doesn't work out - if you can't get past this and whatever other grievances you have against each other by now you recognize that there will still be good times and happy memories attached to this R. That, in itself, is a good thing.
I am getting more and more to a place where I recognize the good, happy memories I had with xH. A lot of them had to do less with the R and more with being young, nubile and 18 - 32 but there are still good and happy things that were there. There was also a great deal of misery but I chose to let that go in favor of the happy memories.
IOW - Enforce your boundary girl and let the chips fall where they may!
