So, it's freezing a$$ cold here all of a sudden and I pull out my heavy, winter coat for the first time this year. Check the pockets at lunch and low & behold find a card from the C we went to w/ an appt time. This sucks so badly. I am happy that things are so great, but we are coming up on the "year anniversary" and it sucks that, just as things "seem" so great & wonderful, that I can't just FORGET.

Did you give the card the justice that it now deserves in your life by using it to wrap the already chewed gum that you've been using to kick that smoking habit and tossing it in the garbage

You guys are doing fine Red...Really!!! \:\)

Love,

The IC's

Cold?? Lill said she had her central air on the other day???? I'll be more than happy to take your "cold" right about now. I think we hit a high of about 30 today.

Journey takes the crumbled up card from the garbage, hands it to IC, who takes aim, in spitball fashion, at the depression hawk ( since guns are prohibited). Holiday shopping resumes.

But it is our ability to remember that reinforces where we are today. I often remember the dark times. Then I think of how I became the person I am today becuase of the dark times.

Try to remember with a positive spin. You and H are in a good place now. You were in a dark place before. Yay you for overcoming it. Or at least committing to overcome it.

I truly screwed up guys!!!!

I had to tell H that I lost the cell phone and they found it at our son's school, but it had been run over. I don't even know why I said this (maybe b/c he was calling me at work drunk AGAIN), but I said "I never liked that phone anyway" He asked why and I said "Oh, it's just a real nice reminder" and he was like "I'm lost" I said "that's how you called your girlfriend all the time" He was really quiet and finally said "I'll take that one -- probably justly deserved. Hope you ran over it twice then." then he was just real quiet again. I finally said "well you better go get some sleep" and he was really short w/ me. Guess I should have kept my mouth shut. Now I feel like crying. Why did I do that?

He won't answer his phone now -- maybe he's just passed out. I'm so afraid he's going to say we're done b/c you can't seem to let go of the past.

I find myself making comments like this too...not a lot, but every now and then. H seems to just take it like the fact it is. I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't think you've blown the whole thing with one little mistake. Just take a deep breath and let it go away. We all stumble on this road...just pick yourself up and do better next time!
