With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at this moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry La Prise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in... And then the rouble started.

As I was driving J to school this morning a your deer leaped across the road and then started running alongside my car. At first I went slowly afraid that it would try to cross the street again. But then I realized that it was just jogging along next to me, so I sped up. And the deer sped up too. It was really hard to get past him. I haven't seen him since. I hope he is not lost in the subdivision. We butt up against a state park, so there is a lot of wildlife around.
I won't do the face because it will upset sara- but a bit tender and quiet....sssssshhhhhhhh.......BANG!!!!!!!! that's what I keep doing when I see him.
I didn't get to go to sleep until gone 4am I was so worried about him. I was also so tempted to shave off his eyebrow and say that he arrived home like that - but then I knew I would be the one going out with him looking like a twit all over the festive period!!!!

I'm good. I had an 8:00 conference this morning with parents and a student. After school I'm going to a 2 hour workshop so it will be a long day for me!
