Lord, we pray that You would strengthen our mate to resist any temptation that comes their way. Stamp it out of their minds before it ever reaches their hearts or personal experience. Lead them not not into temptation, but deliver them from evils such as adultery, pornography, drugs, gambling, alcohol, food addiction, and perversion. Make them strong where they are weak, help them to rise above anything that erects itself as a stronghold in their lives. May they say: I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me (Ps 101;3)
Lord, you have said that: "Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls" (Proverbs 25;28) We pray that all our husbands/wives will not be broken down by the power evil, but raised up by the power of God. Establish a strong wall of protection around them. Fill them with Your spirit and flush out all that is not of You. Help them to take charge over their own spirit and have self-control to resist anything or anyone who becomes a lure. May they abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. (Romans 12;9) We pray that they will be repulsed by tempting situations. Give them courage to reject them. Teach them to walk in the spirit so they will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
