For you youngsters who think that 50 is the end of the line...

Really funny, when you remember that the motto of my generation was "don't trust anyone over 30." \:D

Well, they say that 50 is the new 30. Of course, in our society, "they" are frequently the baby-boomers. I love the fact that the boomers never want to grow old because that means that a Type 7 Gen-X-on-the-cusp-of-being-a-boomer like me can stay a toddler forever. It's funny but my sister and I really do seem like hot young things relative to the early 50s guys we are currently dating.

Another new trend I've noticed which is apparent in your posting is that the old stereotype that men age better than women is changing. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that women are making more money and spending more of it on stuff like gym time and spa treatments and plastic surgery. The mother of one of my D16's friends is around 50 and she looks about 5 years younger than she did 5 years ago because she has done/paid for so much work on herself. My sister and I have found the cheapest aesthetics center in our area and I plan to just keep getting something done for the rest of my life at about $50 a month on the payment plan.

Something that many women don't understand as they age is that men's taste in women change as the MEN age. Women lose confidence in themsevles because their outside looks can n ot compete against 20 somethings. YOU DON'T HAVE TO. The biggest turn on to a man is a woman that has sexual confidence, and this you can have at ANY age. Sure, outside looks can help, but the real turnon is a womans attitude.

Obviously sexual confidence is a turn-on. So are a .7 waist to hip ratio and white teeth. It's like when you apply for a job. A confident, positive attitude is most important but you need the suit and the resume too. However, I think people in general do adjust to the changing/aging appearance of their peers. I once read a magazine article about why older men date younger women and the reason the men gave was that they felt like women their age couldn't "keep up with them".

Youth represents sexuality to many men. I work for a very large company with over 20,000 people, and if you look at the Deida Like men, the men that have achieved Powerful positions, probably 2/3 of them are on at least there second wife, and most are YOUNGER then the men. My guess is that they do this for the sex. Most older women I know do not act sexual like younger women do.
