Well, they say that 50 is the new 30. Of course, in our society, "they" are frequently the baby-boomers. I love the fact that the boomers never want to grow old because that means that a Type 7 Gen-X-on-the-cusp-of-being-a-boomer like me can stay a toddler forever. It's funny but my sister and I really do seem like hot young things relative to the early 50s guys we are currently dating.
Another new trend I've noticed which is apparent in your posting is that the old stereotype that men age better than women is changing. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that women are making more money and spending more of it on stuff like gym time and spa treatments and plastic surgery. The mother of one of my D16's friends is around 50 and she looks about 5 years younger than she did 5 years ago because she has done/paid for so much work on herself. My sister and I have found the cheapest aesthetics center in our area and I plan to just keep getting something done for the rest of my life at about $50 a month on the payment plan.
