Probably just a guy who likes you and wants to know himself where it might be headed, can you blame him for not liking the answer sort of "even though" he knew that was the deal. His W cheated on him so maybe he was uncomfortable about you seeing him and in his mind still seeing your H? Human nature I think. He is obviously struggling himself so I wouldnt take it personally at all.

And why is a good looking crowd like us having marital issues, because looks dont make a good marriage!
