Hmmm...As you detach and continue doing these fun things with your Ds, I bet she'll start ramping up the pressure on OM. That ought to be interesting. He's had it easy so far.

Oh yeah... she gets really "needy" when she's under the gun.

I'm sure he's probably thinking.. "What did I get myself into?"

Maturity level alone would probably be an issue.. I mean to say "I love you" in less than 3 months??

Yeah.. that fairy tale won't last.

Better him than you.

I've heard that Yellowstone is a great family vacation.

Yep.. I totally agree!!

I've never been to Yellowstone.. that's a great idea. Trying to think of something (other than the expense Mickey chain) that would be fun for the girls. I think D5 would have a blast at Yellowstone, but not sure about D3.

Need to investigate.

I'm also thinking a trip to Cali would be nice. San Diego has some cool things.. heck.. just being on the beach would be cool. To young to travel that far though.

I'm sure all the East Coasters will throw stuff at me, but I've never been to Myrtle Beach either.

Jar, I definitely do NOT think you should get W anything for Christmas from YOU. Maybe something from the girls, but not from you!!!!

By the way, I was thinking you guys would think this was funny as we always talk about our kids. S3 says to me all the time now "Mom, will you get me on Hotwheels.com?" If you go there, you will know what I'm talking about -- he is SOOOO funny when the music comes on and he starts banging his head to it!!! \:\)

Good idea about the girls.. totally did not think of that.

How about a family portrait.. sans W of course!! ;\)

Kidding.. Kidding.

Yep!! Hotwheels is a great site!! D5 likes to play every once in a while. Mostly it's Barbie.com though.

Believe it or not, traveling with little ones isn't as bad as you might think. We took S4, who was then S2 to Italy. It turned out great.

The Grand Canyon is also an incredible trip, but your Ds are too young to ride the mules to the bottom.

Good for you for planning a vacation with your Ds. The cool part is that you don't have to compromise with W on the destination. You can give them the experience that you want them to have.

San Diego is a GREAT town for kids! We have Sea World and a fabulous zoo and the Wild Animal Park and Legoland. Plus we just have miles of beaches and some great playgrounds for kids on Mission Bay. And Disneyland's only about 80 minutes away.

When my kids were little we were never at a loss for things to do.

Ok, KML gave me a thought, (thanks KML,) I grew up in St Louis. I went to boot camp in San Diego and saw the zoo there too. Pretty awesome.

St Louis also has an AWESOME zoo. And it's free.

St Louis has a lot of kid oriented attractions, and they are close to you.

The Science Center, The Planetarium, The Magic House (ONLY KID oriented!!!) Six Flags over Mid-America, (Definately Kid oriented.) The Arch, and more.

I'd be happy to give you some suggestions too. \:\)

It's close, and the only drawback is the summer humidity. Don't go July through August.

Seriously, for the midwest, mid-south, it is a great vacation. All of my second cousins from KY and TN used to come up there for vacation. Email me if you're interested.

I've never been to San Diego but when we were living in Denmark (S8 was S3months back then) we went to the original LegoLand. It was great even though it rained the entire time. My 2 girls both still remember a lot about it - they were 5 and 3 at the time (pictures help!)
