Had a hard day Saturday. It was finally a day to spend with the kids and S11 spent the day with his father. I gave H a hard time and he said that S11 called and asked to come over. I gave S11 a talking to as well. I was upset with both of them. D8 went to the neighbors so on my day with the kids I was all alone. I spent the day reading the book When he leaves. Read the whole thing. It was a hard day, hate days like that.

SIL just re-invited me for xmas eve. Says we are having it early this year, 1pm. She said that I am still part of the family regardless and that my kids would surely want me there and I shouldn't be home alone. I told her it was refreshing that she treated me normally regardless of the situation, as she is the only one still to keep in contact.

I plan to. It may be tough. I'll probably be crying. But I am going. She is so nice, thank goodness for people like that. He came over yesterday to help in the attic. When I got home he had put up xmas lights and candles and they were lit. I only got down stuff to decorate the tree, no other decorations. Can't do it this year. He was going to get a tree too but the stand he goes to wasn't available yet. I thanked him for helping. He asked me about xmas, asked to let him know if I needed any $, as he knows I have already shopped for the kids. Asked if I got him anything (I sent for a dvd yesterday!) and said he hadn't planned on getting me anything. I said you'll have to wait and see. He said we could go in together on the last seinfeld set. I said I need a vcr instead as he took one and my son's just died. But my bro says he has one I can have. Yeah! One window God opened I suppose. I have to rely on those now. He also told me not to get him anything for xmas as I cannot afford it. So nice of him! His b-day is today and I got him a gift certificate and that was hard. At least he understands!

No you are not going to be crying, because you have so much to b thankful for, and because the kids need a strong mother, grieve privately. Ok, so it wont' be the "ideal" christmas, but again, it is a season to celebrate. Show up pretty, and confident and decide to have a great christmas, you know how kids look up to this season with so much joy, remember that.

Got the book the proper care and feeding of husbands and am starting to read. Not sure if I should put it away so he doesn't see it. Had a bad night. Hope today is better.

well, you dont' have to put it on the kitchen table, but I don't see why you have to hide if it is in your bedroom since it is your personal space.

Dealing with H is soooo frustrating! I really need to stop trying. I asked him to get something for xmas for S11. And now since he is home each day after school with them he is feeding them each day whether or not it is my night or not. I put dinner in the crock pot today and he is taking them for pizza. SOOO frustrating.
