I'd almost rather just take them and deal with the fallout, but I would be upset if she did that to me.
This is exactly why I tread lightly, even around this trip to see the lights. It would hurt me if I was not included, and not notified beforehand.
Are you guys doing Christmas day together? Another poster on here will not be seeing her spouse on Christmas day, so she is willing to do the "Santa came twice!" thing, for the kids, so no one is left out.
Do you think she will want all 4 of you to go? You would rather go alone, so I would push for that. Not in an evil way, but make plans so everyone is happy. Although with her, she'll make you feel bad for being 'mean'. You can take it. I am sure she has plans for a picture with Santa with OM's kids anyway (BLECKY)
Santa visit is covered here. We always do "Breakfast with Santa" at D3's school (not where OW is, thankthelord) as our Santa visit. H is working this year, so Grandma is coming with us.
